.gif) Our OH&S Manual is a working document in which we not only educate our staff in job safety and procedures, our staff are actively involved and their ideas are added to the manual on safety and their work environment.
Every site has a manual which is updated constantly. To ensure that this manual is actively used and all data is updated, we have the following procedures in place when we have our monthly OH&S review.
- Ensure contacts are updated.
- Revise cleaning specifications and duty statements.
- Revise all training and inductions.
- Update Risk Assessment and Risk Control.
- MSDS sheets are revised.
- All staff complete a revised induction and training questionnaire.
- Discussion and revision on all safe work practices and Manual Handling.
Minutes are kept of every meeting and placed in our OH&S Manual. Through these meetings we are able to pinpoint if our staff lack knowledge in any safety area and therefore are able to educate them in the correct procedures.

Staff Training and Inductions
All our staff are trained before entering our client’s premises. Once on your site they are trained on site-specific issues.
These items are as follows:
- Trained in emergency evacuation and checkpoints.
- Cleaning duties and sequence of duties.
- Site Risk Assessment.
- Site Risk Controls.
- The ability to identify potential hazzards.
- Cleaning duties for periodic cleaning
- Documents associated with your premises such as; Defect reporting, where to leave reports and which is their point of contact for different situations.
- Manual handling is continually upgraded and trained to all staff.
TFC considers the eduction of all our staff a large component of our success in the cleaning industry. We have a very small turnover of staff, which is not common in the cleaning industry. We believe strongly in our duty and responsibility by ensuring not only our staff are safe but enjoy their work and being involved with Total Focus.
Our trained staff are the best in their field and are constantly researching ways to become more efficient and achieve a better standard for our clients.
